Role Overview
We're looking for a Reviewer in our Quality Assurance Department on a permanent basis. This role offers a salary of c£85,000 plus car allowance. The position is with a working pattern of approximately 4 days per week visiting member firms at their offices, with the remaining day working from home planning upcoming visits and reporting. We are looking for a person to cover visits predominantly across London, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire (although you may be asked to cover other locations).
This is a senior role within ICAEW's Quality Assurance Department, working as part of a team of individuals dedicated to upholding quality and working to high standards. Our reviewers most value the variety offered by the role. From working with the most senior partners in the largest firms through to sole practitioners, no day is the same.

Key Responsibilities
- Conducting scheduled visits to ICAEW member firms, reviewing audit files, challenging the quality of audit work and engaging directly with partners and senior management
- Carrying out Practice Assurance, DPB and other regulatory monitoring visits, managing each review from initial planning through to conclusion and formal reporting
- Planning and managing your own reviews from home, using the time built into your schedule to prepare for upcoming visits and complete reports
- Delivering ad-hoc project work and third-party contract assignments in the UK, with opportunities to get involved in overseas contract work
- Acting as an ambassador for ICAEW's QAD team, building trusted professional relationships with firm contacts and contributing to the team's culture of consultation and collaboration
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification, with 5+ years' post-qualification experience and a background in external audit at Senior Manager level or above
- Extensive audit experience across a breadth of industry sectors, with a thorough knowledge of Auditing Standards
- Confidence and gravitas to challenge senior stakeholders constructively, strong interpersonal skills, and the self-discipline to manage your own time and workload in a fully home-based, project-driven role
