Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer (QARO)

Liquid Personnel is partnering with a forward-thinking local authority in Swindon to recruit a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer (RO).
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social work professional to play a key role in safeguarding children, driving service improvement, and providing independent oversight across Child Protection, Children in Care, and Fostering Reviews. This role is split into IRO & CP Chair and you will get a choice of which role you prefer.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will:

  • Chair Child Protection Conferences, Children in Care Reviews, and Fostering Reviews
  • Provide robust challenge and quality assurance to ensure positive outcomes for children
  • Promote strengths-based practice and effective multi-agency working
  • Ensure children's voices remain at the heart of planning and decision-making
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement across Children's Services

About You

To be considered, you'll need:

  • Social Work England registration
  • A minimum of 5 years' post-qualified experience within Children's Social Care
  • Recent supervisory or management experience
  • Experience chairing complex meetings and managing professional challenge
  • Significant experience in Child Protection and Children in Care services
  • Expert knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and statutory guidance
  • A passion for quality assurance and achieving the best outcomes for children
