Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £38,500 + Benefits
Pattern: 4 on 4 off, two days 6am – 6pm and two nights 6pm – 6am
Holiday: 20 days
Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional looking to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment where quality, food safety and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything you do?
We're working exclusively with a leading food manufacturer to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician to play a key role in maintaining the highest standards across product quality, food safety and customer compliance.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with Production and the wider Manufacturing team to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications, legal requirements and industry-leading food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out product quality inspections and verification checks throughout production
- Monitor compliance with customer specifications, HACCP and food safety standards
- Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis
- Coordinate customer complaint investigations and identify improvement opportunities
- Support internal and external audits including BRC and other industry standards
- Conduct calibration and verification activities across production equipment
- Work collaboratively with Production to drive continuous improvement and product quality
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least two years' Quality Assurance experience within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment
- Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 3 qualifications
- Internal auditing experience
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience working with quality systems and manufacturing software such as SAP, RedZone and Microsoft Office
- A proactive approach and the confidence to work closely with operational teams to maintain the highest quality standards
