Quality Assurance Test Engineer

Wipro is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Test Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability and performance of our digital platforms and applications.
Working as part of a collaborative Agile team, you will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, building automated testing frameworks, and expanding regression and verification capabilities beyond manual testing. You will work closely with software engineers and product teams to develop a deep understanding of customer journeys and ensure high-quality solutions are delivered to production.
Our technology landscape includes modern web applications, APIs, cloud-native services and microservices-based architectures, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of best-in-class quality engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of customer journeys and critical user paths.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define effective testing strategies.
- Create, maintain and execute manual test plans and test procedures.
- Perform functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing.
- Document test execution results, defects and release outcomes.
- Design, develop and maintain automated UI and API test frameworks.
- Increase automation coverage to improve quality and accelerate release cycles.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.
- Partner with developers to strengthen quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain test assets, automation suites and repositories using engineering best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance, Test Engineering or Software Testing.
- Proven experience testing production applications and business-critical systems.
- Strong experience creating and executing test plans, test cases and test procedures.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Experience testing APIs and modern web applications.
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with performance and non-functional testing tools.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and applying them within test automation.
- Experience working with cloud-native applications, APIs and microservices.
- Exposure to automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of regulated and compliance-driven environments.
