Summary
Join our team at Humberstone Road and play a key role in maintaining food safety and quality standards across our production site.
The Role
We are looking for a quality-focused individual to monitor and uphold GMP and product standards at every stage of production, from intake to dispatch. Working closely with the QA Manager and Operations team, you will ensure all products are manufactured and packed to specification, meeting food safety and legal requirements.
Pay: £14.76 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 rotating weekly.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain quality and technical requirements within the factory.
- Ensure all raw materials, processed and finished products conform to specification.
- Carry out quality checks at set intervals, reporting any non-conformances promptly.
- Conduct customer benchmarking panels, shelf-life testing, consistency checks and sensory reviews, inputting results into customer systems.
- Collect samples for laboratory testing.
- Support customer audits and visits.
- Work closely with Production and NPD teams to maintain technical compliance and smooth site operations.
- Drive right-first-time behaviours across multi-disciplined teams.

The Ideal Candidate
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in quality auditing and internal auditing.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Intermediate HACCP.
- Experience working in a chilled environment, ideally with fish products.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- A role model for high standards with a proactive, committed approach.
