Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Co-ordinator and QA Inspector to join our client based in Swindon.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Co-ordinator

  • Complete and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Investigate, document, and report customer and internal quality issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues to resolve quality-related matters.
  • Create and maintain internal manufacturing drawings and associated documentation.
  • Process and maintain engineering and quality change requests.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits across multiple business functions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote quality best practices.

QA Inspector

  • Inspect manufactured products accurately and within required timescales.
  • Work closely with internal departments to verify materials and report any non-conformances or deviations from requirements.
  • Prioritise and respond to changes in inspection requirements and production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Support quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Undertake other quality-related duties as required

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with and support the Quality & Compliance Manager, Quality Team Leader, and wider quality team in delivering quality and compliance objectives.
  • Perform quality inspections and record findings in line with established procedures and timelines.

Key Skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can-do attitude
  • Competent on Microsoft packages (particularly Outlook & Excel)

Experience

  • Previously inspected materials to drawing requirements
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports (preferred)
  • Internal Auditor trained (Preferred)
  • Conducted root cause investigations and completed corrective action reports on failed outputs
  • Producing or maintaining drawings (preferred)
