Key Responsibilities
- Support Aerospace Quality Management Systems for site approval, including:
- Conduction of internal and external audits
- Maintenance of regulatory compliance documentation
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers on compliance-related matters
- Govern compliance workflows, recording incident reports** and ensuring formalised resolution processes
- Drive Safety Management, aligning with regulatory standards
- Collaborate on CORE and Continuous Improvement initiatives to expand efficiencies
- Represent the department at internal and external meetings
- Lead product safety activities:
- Conduct root-cause investigations
- Support new product introductions
- Host visits, including regulatory and customer surveillance, managing post-visit follow-up
- Support operational departments to meet regulatory/auditing requirements
- Review and revise procedures, maintaining document control processes

Requirements
- 3+ years experience in aerospace engineering, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), or OE (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
- Proven understanding of aviation regulations and approvals, including:
- UK CAA / EASA (Part 145)
- FAA regulations
- CAAC, AS9100, AS9110, AS9120 compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Conducting thorough investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective action planning
- 8D problem-solving methodologies
- Auditing, accreditation, and surveillance activities
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality and compliance standards, both internally and across industries
- Practical experience with Continuous Improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Competency in bespoke ERP systems (e.g., SAP), along with standard office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Degree-level education in engineering, aerospace science, or a related discipline
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—to engage across hierarchies and functions
- Character strength for making objective decisions in high-pressure situations
- Self-motivated, organised, and proactive, with an attention to detail and adherence to regulatory deadlines
