Role Overview

The Quality & Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the operational quality assurance programme across Bright Futures adult residential services. The role provides independent oversight of quality, governance, and regulatory compliance while working alongside Registered Managers, Area Managers, and senior leaders to deliver sustainable improvements. The role will involve completing a programme of monthly quality audits, providing coaching and support where improvements are required, validating that actions have been embedded, and ensuring every service always remains inspection ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the operational quality assurance programme across Bright Futures adult residential services.
  • Providing independent oversight of quality, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Working alongside Registered Managers, Area Managers, and senior leaders to deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Completing a programme of monthly quality audits.
  • Providing coaching and support where improvements are required.
  • Validating that actions have been embedded.
  • Ensuring every service always remains inspection ready.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in adult social care in a Registered Manager, Area Manager, Quality, or Compliance role.
  • Experience of leading or supporting services through CQC inspections with Good and/or Outstanding outcomes.
  • Experience of undertaking quality audits and implementing measurable service improvements.
  • Strong working knowledge of the CQC regulations and inspection framework, fundamental standards, and associated legislation.
  • Understanding of the forthcoming changes to the CQC inspection framework and ability to interpret regulatory developments into operational practice.
  • Experience of coaching leaders and holding services accountable for improvement.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • It would be advantageous to have inspected residential homes in the capacity of a CQC Inspector.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) (essential).
  • Lead Auditor or recognised Quality Assurance qualification (desirable).

Additional Requirements

  • A full driving license is essential along with access to your own vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel between sites across the organisation.
  • Flexibility to support business needs and to continually manage and prioritise complex multiple projects and tasks within tight timescales against competing demands and influences.

  • This role will be appointed on a permanent basis.
  • The role will be based at our Head Office in Lymm with additional travel across our sites.
