Employment Type: Full time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Thursday – 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – 1pm
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum
Location: Somerset
Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Somerset and as a result of continued business growth, they are seeking a Quality Inspector to join the team.
Key candidate background needed:
- Experience with both visual and dimensional inspection (callipers, height gauges etc.)
- A good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Ability to measure accurately in both metric and imperial units with relevant measuring equipment would be advantageous.
- Raising First Article Reports
- CMM operating experience would be advantageous.
- Flexibility due to work demands will be required.
- Good dexterity and manual skills
- Good level of literacy and numeracy is required as the training and quality standards are very in depth and specific.

Position accountabilities:
- Dimensionally and visually inspect product to detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Carry out first offs, last offs, patrol inspection, incoming material and final inspection checks.
- Quarantine, log and report all non-conforming product without delay.
- Review and verify certificate of conformities.
- Accurately complete manufacturing records, ensuring product traceability.
- Participate in improvement projects.
