About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lab & Quality Operative to support laboratory testing and quality control activities within our growing media operations. This is a varied, hands-on role combining analytical work with on-site quality monitoring, and will occasionally include assisting with forklift operations when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine laboratory testing on raw materials and finished growing media products
- Prepare, label, and process samples in line with internal procedures
- Perform quality control checks throughout the production processes
- Accurately record, analyse, and report test results
- Support investigation and resolution of quality issues and non-conformance
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Ensure laboratory areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with standards
- Support adherence to quality, environmental, and health & safety procedures
- Work closely with the production team to monitor and improve product quality
- Occasionally assist with forklift operations and operate weighbridge, when required

Requirements
- Previous laboratory or quality control experience preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and good data recording skills
- Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving ability
- Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided)
- Flexible and willing to support wider site activities when needed
