Quality Control Technician – Bristol / Avonmouth

Department: Concrete Technical Location: Bristol or Avonmouth Contract: Full-time

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure our concrete, asphalt, and aggregate materials meet the highest industry and regulatory standards.


Purpose of the Role

  • Conduct on-site sampling and testing of construction materials (asphalt, aggregates, concrete) in compliance with European Standards and under UKAS-accredited procedures.
  • Play a vital role in operational excellence, ensuring reliability and quality for our customers and operations.

Health & Safety

  • Strict adherence to Health & Safety Policies, legislation, and safe working procedures.
  • Actively promote a health & safety culture within the team.

Quality Control

  • Perform site testing accurately and in line with approved standards.
  • Identify, disable, and escalate deviations immediately.
  • Drive continuous improvements in product precision, process efficiency, and service delivery.

Production Efficiency

  • Deliver timely, high-quality test results to support operational goals.

Customer Service

  • Build strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Assist the Senior Technician in resolving customer queries efficiently.

Requirements/What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates who:

  • Are proactive, safety-aware and detail-oriented.
  • Can follow structured procedures with strict attention to accuracy.
  • Possess good communication and collaborative skills.
  • (Desirable, but not compulsory):
    • Previous experience in laboratory work or materials testing.
    • (Training provided for all roles.)
