Quality Controller
Role Overview
The Quality Controller will ensure reprographic outputs meet our quality standards and customer requirements through efficient and effective quality control.
This is a solution-led role in a fast-paced industry with tight deadlines. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude, adaptability, and the ability to meet both internal and external customer demands.
Where the Role Fits Within the Team
The Quality Controller will operate within the Quality Control team, collaborating closely with:
- Customer Service
- Studio Team
- Production Team
The Quality Control function ensures a daily commitment to delivering outstanding quality across the business.
Reports To
Directly reports to the Production Manager. The role also involves communication with:
- Client Services
- Studio & Manufacturing Teams
- Directors & staff (as required by projects), ensuring positive engagement and problem-solving.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The main duties include:
- Utilising quality monitoring software to inspect artwork and reprographic outputs covering:
- Visual assessments
- Measurement checks
- Proof verification
- Alignment with customer specifications

Logging quality issues with detailed notes to enable studio operators to implement corrective actions.

Communicating workflow and status updates directly to customers.
Key Deliverables of the Role
To ensure accuracy and consistency, the Quality Controller must:

Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for:
- Pre-plating QC checks
- Proof production controls

Identify and resolve quality issues while preventing future recurrence.

Document findings in all mandated systems:
- Work tickets
- QC check sheets
- Company databases

Prioritise customer deliveries to meet Deadlines.

Update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system at each QC stage.

Liaise with customers regarding:
- Approvals
- Amendments
- Artwork and reprofeedback
- Plate adjustments
Required Skills & Experience
This role demands:
✔ Essential:
- Previous experience in quality control or reprographics industry.
✔ Personal Attributes:
- Ability to work flexibly (5-day week with weekend shifts and late shifts when necessary).
- Composure under pressure while maintaining thorough attention to detail.
- Strong ability to follow SOPs and meet tight deadlines.

✔ Technical Skills:
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office in a commercial environment.
- Experience with CRM systems is desirable (training provided if required).
Travel Requirements
- Primary location: Reproflex3 Ltd. office, Cramlington (Northumberland).
- No regular travel anticipated.
- Occasional client visits may occur with reasonable notice.
