Role Context
This strategic leadership role exists to:
- Implement quality-focused initiatives that drive cultural transformation and organizational excellence
- Shape a strong Quality culture across the sub-region and locations
- Ensure synergy between people, processes, and tools for flawless project execution
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent, aligning the right people with evolving project needs
The role balances strategic vision, operational leadership, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Compliance
- Define and execute UK regulatory obligations, ensuring secure execution of controls to meet legal requirements
- Lead a **nalyzing trends and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Escalate and resolve customer quality concerns, non-conformances, and audit findings with transparency and timeliness
- Represent customer interests in all quality-related matters, including audits and inspections
- Develop and maintain the UK audit program to ensure compliance with global standards; drive corrective actions in audits
Quality Assurance & Project Oversight
- Ensure Worley Standards are integrated into project quality plans; align them with customer expectations
- Monitor and enforce quality execution across all projects, fabrication yards, and service locations, escalating gaps to leadership
- Coordinate Quality Assurance/Control (QA/QC) resources with the Regional Head of Quality to support operations and project teams
- Interface with third-party inspectors and auditors, ensuring alignment between stakeholder expectations and project governance
- Develop and implement project-specific quality plans, reviewing execution effectiveness by engineering and delivery teams

Performance & Reporting
- Define and measure Quality KPIs and metrics for the UK business, reporting on site-level performance trends
- Collaborate with Regional Director to consolidate sub-regional data into the regional Management Review report
- Optimize quality costs by driving lean practices and proactive issue prevention
Change & Continuous Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, translating project learnings into policy and execution improvements
- Align location quality objectives with global-regional strategy; approve major project quality plans
- Proactively lead cross-functional teams, leveraging optional expertise across Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
Requirements
Accreditations (Essential)
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent) with evidence of practical implementation
Training & Competencies
- Expertise in:
- Organizational change leadership and management
- ISO standards (ISO 9001 preferred)
- Construction codes and regional standards
- Risk management & root-cause analysis
- Continuous improvement methodologies
- Digital QA/QC tools (e.g., ERP, PLM systems)
Experience
✔ At least several years at a senior leadership level managing Quality teams across project-development portfolios (within oil & gas, renewables, construction, or related sectors) ✔ Direct experience interfacing with customer quality teams and third-party auditors ✔ Cross-functional leadership (collaborating with Industry Specialists, Health & Safety, and project partners) ✔ Deep understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, including HSE/WTOP compliance and statutory requirement management
