Role Context

This position is pivotal for strategic execution, cultural transformation, and organisational excellence—ensuring high-quality delivery of projects and services.

Key responsibilities align with:

  • Defining and embedding global Worley Standards in local practices.
  • Aligning people, processes, and tools to prevent non-conformance.
  • Cultivating a competitive, high-performing culture by attracting, developing, and retaining talent.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Culture

  • Ensure Worley Standards are firmed into project quality plans and customer expectations are embedded.
  • be the voice of the customer across UK operations—resolving concerns, investigations, and escalations transparently.
  • foster strong stakeholder relationships with:
    • Customer Quality leads.
    • Third-party auditors/inspectors.
    • Project delivery teams (including mega/large project coordination).

Operational Efficiency

  • Benchmark quality execution across projects, defining performance with AQAP, ISO 9001, Industry Standards (ISO 10005, 14001, 45001).
  • Lead UK quality assurance and control roles:
    • Establish procedures for supply/quality custody transfer.
    • Align with UK regulators and statutory compliance requirements (e.g. environmental, health/safety).
    • Own the annual UK audit program (global regional integration) and corrective-action implementation.

Performance & Innovation

  • Implement KPI-driven evaluation for quality function and operational dashboards.
  • Roll up sub-region data into regional Management Review reports.
  • Reduce quality cost risks via proactive fixes and lean best practices.
  • Transition continuous improvement leadings into execution strategy updates.
  • Promote cross-functional teamwork, especially prioritising consistency with engineering/procurement functions.

Regulatory & Technical Expertise

  • Align UK location strategy with global-regional initiatives; liaise with Head of Quality (MPP).
  • Advance Quality Planning.
  • Define project deviation control, NCR approvals, and waiver processes with governance backing.

Who You Are

Accreditations (Non-Negotiable)

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent) with evidence of training, methodology, and real-world application.

Training (Essential to Pursue)

  • Leadership & change management.
  • Standards: UK/EU/International Quality compliance.
  • Construction codes (e.g., BS/EN/IEC).
  • Regulatory adherence frameworks.
  • Risk management (e.g., FMEA, Six Sigma).
  • Elevate data-driven capabilities (digital QA/QC tools).

Experience

  • Senior Quality leadership (area 5+ yrs): Combining design and EPC projects (global, focus; oil/gas/renewables).
  • Proven cultural transformation executing simple to complex projects.
