About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated CI & Quality Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about quality management and continuous improvement to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organization.

The successful candidate will:

  • Maintain and enhance quality standards
  • Drive operational efficiencies
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the business

Working collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, the CI & Quality Engineer will:

  • Identify areas for process enhancement
  • Investigate quality issues
  • Implement effective corrective actions

This role focuses on both compliance with quality standards and proactive initiatives to optimize overall business performance.

Qualifications

Essential experience and qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in a quality and continuous improvement role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System standards.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and supporting customer and supplier quality activities.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques such as root cause analysis and structured improvement methodologies (e.g., DSDM, PDCA, or Lean Six Sigma).
  • Excellent analytical skills capable of interpreting data and generating actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes, technical drawings, specifications, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the CI & Quality Engineer include:

  • Maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System in alignment with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Investigating non-conformances, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Leading and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)).
  • Conducting internal audits and supporting external audits to ensure compliance and readiness.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on quality performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes to identify potential risks and enhancement opportunities.
  • Supporting inspection activities to verify products meet customer requirements before dispatch.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
