At Beagle Aircraft, we're proud to manufacture precision-engineered components for some of the world's leading aerospace programmes. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Quality team and play a key role in driving quality excellence across our manufacturing operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly regulated aerospace environment where you'll collaborate with Engineering, Production and Inspection teams to improve manufacturing processes, reduce defects and help deliver Right First Time quality.

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving our Quality Management System while supporting manufacturing operations through Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), continuous improvement and New Product Introduction (NPI).

Working across the business, you'll investigate quality issues, support customers and suppliers, participate in Material Review Boards (MRB) and ensure our products consistently meet customer expectations and aerospace quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management System.
  • Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities to reduce defects, scrap and rework.
  • Participate in Material Review Boards (MRB) and support non-conformance investigations.
  • Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and support external customer and accreditation audits.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), product validation and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Inspection and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve Right First Time performance.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve technical and quality-related queries.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement and aerospace manufacturing.

You'll ideally have:

  • At least 3 years' experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Inspector within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 and aerospace quality systems.
  • Experience leading RCCA investigations, MRB activities and quality improvement projects.
  • Experience preparing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and supporting AS9102 requirements.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, composites, mechanical assemblies and fabrication.
  • HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
