About The Opportunity

The Nuclear Power Programmes team was established with the vision to support positive change and shape the future of nuclear power. Operating across the UK and continental Europe, we are seeking additional talent to actively drive advancements in nuclear technology, addressing evolving projects at various stages of development.

A key focus of our Nuclear Power Programmes is to hire confident, energetic, and committed individuals who are excited about the sector and its enduring influence on Net Zero and energy security. We empower Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) and Quality Execution Plans, ensuring coordinated compliance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

Through the delivery of major programmes, we ensure delivery solutions which are not only safe and timely, but also developed through collaborative innovation.


Key Responsibilities

We require our quality team to:

  • Support implementation of Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) and associated Quality Execution Plans.
  • Ensure supplier and contractor compliance adheres to: quality requirements, CQAPs, ITPs, LTQRs, and contractual standards.
  • Coordinate and monitor inspections, surveillance activities, witness points, and testing programmes.
  • Support supplier audits, assess non-compliance (findings), and ensure corrective actions are successfully implemented.
  • Review technical documentation for compliance with:
    • Manufacturing & construction records
    • End-of-stage delivery and handover documentation
  • Monitor non-conformances and quality issues, driving lessons learned to promote continuous process improvement.
  • Recording and reporting quality metrics, together with maintaining effective stakeholder engagement across:
    • Technical teams
    • Suppliers
    • Inspection partners
    • Contractors

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience within quality assurance/control for nuclear or other safety-critical industries.
  • Strong capability-driven understanding across QA/QC disciplines: engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and validation.
  • Robust knowledge of quality management systems, with a particular focus on:
    • ISO 9001
    • ISO 19443 standards (for nuclear safety)
    • IAEA GSR-2 guidance
  • Direct experience of supplier audits and managing the quality of the supply chain.
  • Demonstrated talent in stakeholder management, communications, problem-solving, and data-driven reporting.
  • Professional qualification in (or equivalent to): an HNC/HND, Bachelor’s degree, or related engineering/science field.
