Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead daily quality improvement activities across the manufacturing areas and drive defect reduction, Material Review Board (MRB) governance, root cause investigation and permanent corrective actions to improve right-first-time performance, reduce scrap and rework, and minimise customer quality escapes. Quality Engineer position.
Role & Responsibilities Of a Quality Engineer
- Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities, ensuring non-conforming materials are identified, contained, investigated and dispositioned promptly.
- Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies to deliver sustainable corrective actions.
- Analyse quality and defect data to identify recurring issues, trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain quality logs, visual management tools and performance dashboards to support informed decision making.
- Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Suppliers and wider site teams to resolve quality issues.
- Drive reductions in scrap, rework and internal defects while improving right-first-time performance.
- Establish and embed a structured daily quality management cadence across manufacturing operations.
- Ensure effective containment actions are implemented to protect production flow and customer satisfaction.
- Support process standardisation, audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate quality performance, risks and improvement activities clearly to operational leadership and key stakeholders.

- Previous experience within a Quality Engineer role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Quality Engineering principles, MRB processes and RCCA methodologies.
- Experience using structured problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience interpreting quality data, Pareto analysis and performance reporting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve quality improvements.
- High attention to detail with a disciplined approach to quality management and continuous improvement.
