About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team in Halifax. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high-quality standards across our production processes. As a central point of contact for quality-related matters, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001. Your analytical skills and proactive approach will contribute to the enhancement of product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring onsite presence from Monday to Friday, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic and innovative organization.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field. Prior professional experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of core quality tools and methods, including APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, and PFMEA, as well as structured problem-solving techniques like 8D. Auditing experience aligned with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, is highly desirable. Strong analytical capabilities, excellent IT skills (particularly MS Office and preferably Minitab), and a solution-oriented mindset are required to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality processes, ensuring effective implementation and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Acting as the main point of contact for quality-related topics within assigned projects, working collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues efficiently.
- Leading and coordinating problem-solving activities using structured methods such as 8D and root cause analysis.
- Supporting and managing customer quality requirements, including APQP and PPAP processes, to ensure product and process readiness.
- Analyzing production and quality data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conducting scrap and defect analyses, implementing corrective and preventive measures, and supporting internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Participating in gate and program reviews to monitor quality deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.
- Performing other tasks as assigned to support continuous quality enhancement.
