Job Opportunity: Compliance & Quality Engineer

W Talent is delighted to be working with a premium engineering manufacturer to support the appointment of a Compliance & Quality Engineer to join their team at their Skelmanthorpe facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented quality professional to join a growing business focused on engineering excellence, product quality and continuous improvement.

About the Role

The role is critical in ensuring both internally manufactured and externally supplied components meet required engineering specifications and quality standards before production.

You will collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Stores to drive quality assurance, compliance, and process consistency, reinforcing the company's reputation as a premium manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer, your key duties include:

  • Inspecting and measuring precision-engineered components against engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Performing dimensional inspections and measurements on both machined and purchased components.
  • Operating precision metrology tools such as CMMs (Coordinate Measurement Machines) and Faro Arms.
  • Raising and managing non-conformance issues, conducting root cause investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Producing inspection reports, quality records, and compliance documentation.
  • Supporting the development and improvement of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to enhance product quality and consistency.
  • Ensuring close coordination with Production, Purchasing, and Stores for smooth workflow.
  • Maintaining compliance with ISO standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety standards, fostering a safe and organised working environment.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
