GBP45,000 + up to 10% bonus

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join an excellent bespoke manufacturer in the Trowbridge area.

With no day ever being the same the Quality Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment.

Commutable from Melksham, Trowbridge, Chippenham, Bradford-on-Avon, Devizes, Bath, Corsham, Calne, Warminster, Westbury, Frome

Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Audit and improve manufacturing processes and quality controls.
  • Lead root cause investigations using 5 Whys and 8D methodologies.
  • Reduce quality and production risks through FMEA and Control Plans.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve performance.
  • Manage customer quality issues, CAPA activities, and support NPI/APQP projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 2-3+ years experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, CI, and Kaizen.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using structured methodologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and change control.
  • Six Sigma and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience.
  • Electronics manufacturing experience or IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 knowledge desirable.
