Main purpose of job role:
Provide quality assurance support to customers, suppliers, partners, and internal manufacturing cells and participate in continuous improvement activities in targeted areas. Support the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Review of customer quality requirements related to orders ensuring their correct implementation. Provide Quality customer interface and expertise to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied, including leading complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action execution. Conduct of fault investigations relating to non-conformance identified both internally and externally ensuring adequate and suitable corrective and preventative actions are taken. Solve technical product / process and business process problems utilizing structured approaches such as 8D. Support and drives the Quality Team working in the manufacturing area relative to the collection and analysis of quality data providing expertise and ensuring product and process quality requirements are implemented through business Policies and Quality Best Practice deployment. Host customer / participate in 3rd party audits, including managing though to closure of any non-conformances raised Participate in the auditing of internal and supplier Quality Systems, including report writing and management though to closure of any non-conformances raised. Evaluate potential and existing suppliers for use within the company ASL. Coordinate APQP activities and complete PPAP documentation to AS9145 standards and assure that customer requirements are met in new or modified products and processes. Provide support in compiling product verification documentation to AS9102 (FAIR). Develop and analyse statistical data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas. Participate in product development and launch activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing. Provide support in the way of development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits. Investigate and eliminates causes of quality problems and follows up on corrective actions. Participate in the design, procurement, maintenance, and evaluation of gauges, measurement instruments, devices, and test equipment. Completion of any release documentation, including C of C’s and Data Dossier’s required to permit shipping of product.

Essential Qualifications

Engineering qualifications (minimum ONC/HNC). AS9100 certified Lead Auditor. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, with GD&T knowledge. Ability to inspect components to drawing requirements.
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques (Green Belt or Black Belt) Aerospace, automotive, medical or nuclear industry experience. Proficiency with digital quality tools (QMS and NCR databases) Knowledge of NADCAP special processes. Knowledge of ASME VIII, PD 5500 and PED standards.
