Quality Engineer

Location: Oxfordshire

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Strong Package + subsistence if living away

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a leading contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in Buckinghamshire.

This role is ideal for an organised and detail-oriented quality professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, working closely with project teams to maintain quality standards across all phases of construction. You will work alongside operational and engineering teams, playing a key role in driving compliance, supporting assurance activities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and associated checklists, ensuring compliance throughout all stages of construction.
  • Collaborate with site delivery teams to plan and manage product realisation via ITP work packages.
  • Support the implementation of quality, technical assurance, and completions processes across the project.
  • Ensure ITPs and quality documentation align with project and client requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with project procedures, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Assist in investigating quality issues and implementing proactive corrective actions.
  • Produces reports while maintaining quality records and documentation.
  • Support quality planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage with operational teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive quality performance.
  • Promote a right-first-time delivery culture across the project.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Quality or Completions role within a construction environment.
  • Strong background in working with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality assurance processes, and project completions.
  • Affiliation with the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
  • Internal Auditor qualification, preferably for ISO 9001.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and experience in documentation management.
