About Ontic

Ontic is a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries. We’re more than just a business—we’re a community of innovators, committed to fostering a culture where talent thrives, ideas flourish, and careers are built. We combine expertise in aerospace manufacturing, MRO, spares and AOG support to ensure certified, safety-critical components remain compliant, available and reliable across the full operational life of aircraft—from civil to military fleets.

Our goal? To reduce supply chain risk and improve production outputs, supporting our customers so they can keep their aircraft flying, now and in the future.

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest quality standards while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and UK CAA regulatory requirements. This hands-on position requires cross-functional collaboration with operational teams, customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies, blending oversight with proactive improvement.

Your key accountable areas will include:

  • Supporting compliance with Ontic’s UK Quality Management System and applicable regulatory frameworks, including UK CAA Part-21G / Part-145.
  • Leading and overseeing product verification activities, including inspections and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities, non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis (methods such as 8D and 5 Whys).
  • Conducting internal and external audits, supporting customer quality activities to ensure alignment with standards.
  • Driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate operational quality.
  • Acting as Certifying Staff for approved products.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
