Quality Engineer | Chippenham | £45,000 - £60,000

Our client is an innovative engineering and manufacturing business developing cutting-edge technology to support the transition towards a more sustainable future. With a strong focus on product quality, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence, they are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team and play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards throughout the manufacturing process.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to drive quality improvements across both internal production and supplier networks.

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining product quality across incoming inspection, manufacturing, and final testing. You'll lead investigations into quality issues, manage inspection and test equipment, support supplier quality activities, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials and components against quality specifications.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Carry out quality inspections throughout production.
  • Verify manufacturing and test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Analyse production and test data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage inspection and test equipment, including calibration and maintenance.
  • Maintain quality documentation and inspection records.
  • Support internal and external audits.

About You

You'll have experience within a Quality Engineering or Quality Control environment and enjoy working across manufacturing, engineering, and supplier quality activities.

You'll ideally have:

  • Degree, HND or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineer or Quality Control role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with inspection techniques and quality control processes.
  • Understanding of calibration and verification of measurement equipment.
