Brightsmith is pleased to partner with an innovative organisation within the clean technology sector, seeking a Quality Engineer to support the manufacture of advanced electrical products and future product development. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality throughout incoming inspection, production, and final testing, while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and supporting supplier quality.

Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming goods inspections to ensure components meet quality and specification requirements.
- Monitor product quality throughout manufacturing and final test.
- Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Verify and maintain manufacturing and test equipment, including calibration activities.
- Analyse production and test data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
- Support supplier quality activities and resolve component quality issues.
- Maintain quality documentation and support ISO 9001 compliance and audit activities.
- Ensure inspection and test equipment remains compliant with applicable standards and regulations, including PUWER.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Essential
- Experience in a Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality role.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with inspection techniques and quality control processes.
- Understanding of calibration and verification of measurement and test equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience within electrical, electronics, or electro-mechanical manufacturing.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, or non-conformance management.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of PUWER requirements and electrical testing systems.
- Experience working with battery-powered or high-power electrical products.
