Role: Quality Engineer
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
An established engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Engineer to join its growing team based near High Wycombe.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer with a manufacturing background to play a key role in driving product quality, supporting customers and suppliers, and contributing to continuous improvement across the business. You'll work closely with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve customer and supplier quality issues.
- Manage customer and supplier claims and support corrective actions.
- Coordinate the quarantine process and non-conformance activities.
- Support product testing, validation, and sample approval processes.
- Review engineering drawings and maintain quality documentation.
- Assist with APQP activities, including contract reviews and feasibility studies.
- Prepare and maintain PPAP and FAIR documentation.
- Collate quality data to support product approvals and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attend quality meetings and collaborate with global teams.
- Support customer visits and build strong customer relationships.
- Coordinate inspection activities and support the development of Quality Inspectors through training and mentoring.

About You

- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quality Engineer within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, precision engineering, or advanced manufacturing.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and FAIR processes.
- Experience dealing with customer and supplier quality issues.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
