Quality Engineer
Our Campsie factory specializes in the manufacturing of Vertiv™ PowerBoard low and medium voltage switchgear, serving critical infrastructure needs across data centers, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings and Vertiv™ Unify integrated platform software.
Equipped with advanced production capabilities and a skilled engineering team, the facility supports precision and reliability at every stage of the process—from design and assembly to rigorous testing and quality assurance.
By combining technical expertise with a commitment to innovation, the Campsie site plays a vital role in delivering safe, scalable, and efficient power distribution solutions to customers worldwide.
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Campsie site and play a key role in driving prevention-led quality assurance across manufacturing operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for improving process capability, reducing defects, leading RCCA/CAPA activities, managing 8D/NCR workflows, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and VOS principles. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality teams to strengthen process controls, support continuous improvement, and protect customer quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa methodologies
- Conducting layered process audits and first-off verification activities
- Supporting supplier quality performance and deviation control processes
- Using quality data and trends to identify risks and drive improvements
- Coaching teams on quality standards, defect prevention, and process discipline
- Supporting new product and process introduction activities

The successful candidate will have experience within a manufacturing quality environment, strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in data analysis; ability to develop performance metrics and goals based on product and process data.
- Generate and present reports using Excel, PowerPoint and Vertiv system applications.
- Direct and relative experience conducting Root Causes and Correct Actions using 8D problem solving or similar techniques.
- Knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Process evaluation and capability analysis - Six Sigma (DAMIC) experience a plus
- Knowledge in electrical, mechanical and firmware design and development, reliability and test validation
- Experience in product development cycle processes including production release, supplier qualification requirements, production qualification / validation processes and production testing.
