Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Luton
Day Rate: £250
Contract Length: 5/6 Months
Candidates must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
The Role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join an Integrated Project Team (IPT), supporting complex engineering programmes within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Quality focal point for in-service and returns material activities.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Review and approve quality documentation relating to returns, concessions, and repair activities.
- Ensure effective traceability and configuration control of returned and unserviceable items.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, internal Quality Management Systems, and customer contractual requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across in-service quality processes.
- Deliver compliant products safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements

- Experience working within Defence, Aerospace, Electronics, or another complex regulated industry.
- First Article Inspection (FAI / FAIR) experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience supporting investigations, concessions, repairs, returns, or material review activities.
Desirable
- Material Review Board (MRB) experience.
- Previous experience within Defence Electronics, Aerospace, or a similar high-reliability engineering environment.
