Quality Engineer

Contract: 12 Months
Based: Barrow In Furness
Hourly Rate: £35.00 PAYE or £47.12 Umbrella inside IR35
5 days on site per week
37 hours Monday - Friday

Overview

Working across a variety of quality assurance activities, you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting investigations, conducting audits and collaborating with stakeholders across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional who enjoys solving problems, influencing positive change and delivering quality excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the delivery of quality assurance activities across the business.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and support certification activities.
  • Investigate non-conformances and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Analyse quality data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain and develop quality documentation, policies and procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Produce accurate reports and presentations to communicate quality performance.

Key Skills

  • Experience working within a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering environment.
  • A good understanding of ISO 9001 and/or EN9100 quality standards.
  • Experience of conducting internal audits and supporting quality investigations.
  • Knowledge of Business Management Systems and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience using Root Cause Analysis techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone or Six Sigma methodologies.
