- Salary Equivalent: £55,000 per annum
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer for an initial 12-month contract based in Witney. Working within a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, maintaining meticulous quality standards, and approving essential documentation.
This role is ideal for a confident professional who thrives in an ambiguous, spontaneous environment, possesses a sharp eye for detail, and can work seamlessly both independently and cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation & Compliance
- Manage a high volume of document approvals.
- Ensure all records strictly adhere to defined procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain secure and appropriate storage of documentation.

Training & Systems
- Maintain and complete your own training records in a timely manner.
- Support the training of fellow team members on procedures, processes, and systems.

Quality System Support
- Assist with project tasks focused on developing, implementing, and improving quality systems.
- Ensure effective, compliant processes that meet business and customer needs.

Audits & Safety
- Support internal and external audits/inspections for your functional area.
- Take responsibility for personal Health & Safety, and support the wider team.
- Highlight opportunities for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) improvements.

What We Are Looking For
Experience
- Prior experience within a manufacturing or quality environment is highly beneficial.
Technical Skills
- Proficient with computer systems, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
Soft Skills & Adaptability
- A confident communicator able to collaborate across different departments.
- Comfortable working in a fluid, ambiguous environment where priorities can change spontaneously.
- An independent problem-solver who trusts their decision-making but knows when to escalate or ask for help.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
