Location: Hessle, East Yorkshire

Our client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced industrial technology, is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their expanding Quality and Conformance team based in Hessle. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an innovative engineering business whose products are trusted by manufacturers around the world.

As Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, supporting product compliance, driving continuous improvement and investigating quality issues to ensure customers receive products they can depend on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct incoming inspection activities, ensuring materials and components meet engineering drawings and quality standards.
  • Carry out final inspection activities before products are released to customers.
  • Maintain and update Quality Assurance, Quality Control and HSE documentation in line with company procedures.
  • Support the management of calibration activities, equipment maintenance schedules and HSE reporting.
  • Investigate product and process non-conformances using quality tools including 8D and 5 Why methodologies.
  • Identify root causes and support the implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensure quality activities remain compliant with the company's Quality Management System.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and engineering functions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a culture of quality, innovation and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Technician, Quality Inspector or similar quality role within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using quality tools and structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D and 5 Why.
  • Familiarity with CMM equipment and manual measuring instruments.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and ideally SAP.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across the business.
  • IOSH or general HSE knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • A proactive approach with a passion for quality, continuous improvement and solving technical problems.
