We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team.
About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our software applications. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will support the delivery of digital solutions used across healthcare property services. You will be involved across the full testing lifecycle, including functional, system, regression and user acceptance testing (UAT). This role is a primarily manual testing role helping to ensure our systems perform effectively and meet both business and user needs. You'll also contribute to improving testing processes and supporting a culture of continuous improvement within an agile delivery environment.
Who You Are
You're a detail-oriented and proactive testing professional with experience in software quality assurance. You're comfortable working in agile teams and enjoy collaborating with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. You have strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to problem solving, and a genuine interest in improving product quality. You're also keen to develop your skills further, particularly in automation and modern testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of test strategies across software products
- Design, write, and execute test cases based on business requirements and user stories
- Carry out functional, system, regression, and UAT testing
- Perform both manual exploratory testing and automated testing
- Identify, log, and support resolution of defects with development teams
- Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts
- Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ensure high-quality, repeatable, and well-documented testing processes
- Keep up to date with emerging testing tools, techniques, and best practices

Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience testing software applications across multiple stages of the SDLC
- Knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum or Kanban)
- Experience with manual and automated testing approaches
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Web automation (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress)
- API testing (Postman or similar)
- BDD tools (SpecFlow, Cucumber or similar)
- CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins - desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and work effectively within a team
Where you'll be
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering a hybrid working arrangement and based at your nearest local hub. The salary starts from £55,000 per annum plus bonus.
