We are looking for a talented Quality Engineer to join our team in Crowborough and play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, driving quality performance and supporting business growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on quality professional who enjoys solving complex problems, leading improvement initiatives and working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to deliver meaningful results.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Support the development, implementation and sustainment of manufacturing and business processes across UKTC Operations, New Value Introduction (NVI) and Value Engineering (VE) activities.
  • Drive manufacturing improvements through structured problem-solving activities and coaching of manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor, analyse and report quality-related KPI data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage and support the resolution of customer complaints and quality issues in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing process controls.
  • Lead process and product improvement projects.
  • Support compliance with Servomex quality assurance standards and best practices.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience implementing process controls and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others in structured problem-solving techniques.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the drive to deliver sustainable improvements.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and auditing.
  • Experience within electronics and/or mechanical manufacturing environments.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
  • Power BI, Power Apps or Power Automate.
  • SAP and Minitab.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent experience.
  • HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

Servomex considers several factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
