Quality Engineering Test Lead

Senior Test Lead – Consumer Electronics (Software & Hardware Testing)

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, organised and people-focused Test Lead to own the day-to-day operations of the testing function at Nextbase.

This is deliberately an operational role. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be embedded with the team, leading and developing test engineers
  • Own test execution, progress tracking and risk management
  • Actively monitor status, chase blockers and ensure timely delivery

The Test Lead bridges planning and delivery: They transpose the strategy into actionable priorities, orchestrate daily progress, remove obstacles, and provide clear visibility of testing status and product readiness.

Key Objectives

  • Lead, manage and develop the test engineering team on a daily basis
  • Own and drive execution of the test plan across products and releases
  • Continuously monitor progress, chase actions and eliminate blockers to maintain schedule
  • Report transparently on test coverage, defects and product readiness to stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
