Quality Improvement Lead - Non-conformance Management
Location: Lincoln
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Hourly Rate: £30.00 - £40.00 (PAYE)
Contract Length: 12 months

Are you ready to take your career to the next level in the engineering sector? Our client is looking for a Quality Improvement Lead to join their dynamic Non-conformance Management team in Lincoln. If you have a passion for quality, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to coach and inspire others, this is your opportunity to shine!
What You’ll Do:
In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind improving quality standards within the Small Gas Turbine (SGT) business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating Problem Solving: Coach teams on root cause analysis and effective problem-solving techniques.
- Improving Processes: Enhance tools and processes related to non-conformance management.
- Training: Provide training on problem-solving tools and techniques to enhance team capabilities.
- Governance Support: Offer guidance and governance for non-conformance management across the business.
- Culture Enhancement: Collaborate with functional leads to foster a quality-driven culture.
You’ll work closely with SGT teams and the central quality team to streamline non-conformance processes, ensuring visibility and accountability throughout the organisation.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
We’re seeking a highly motivated individual who thrives on challenges and demonstrates a proactive approach to work. Here’s what you need:
Essential Skills:
- Confident communicator with the ability to prepare persuasive presentations.
- Experience interfacing with diverse departments, including project and design teams.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities with stakeholders at all levels.
- Team player with a keen awareness of how your role influences others.
- Flexible and proactive, able to work independently and take initiative.
Desirable Skills:
- Background in engineering or manufacturing.
- Understanding of quality management systems.
Qualifications:
- Graduate calibre candidate required.
- Experience in problem-solving and leading investigations using formal techniques.
- Proven ability to facilitate workshops and provide training.
- Strong data interpretation skills and familiarity with metrics.
Bonus Experience:
- Proposing and implementing quality-related solutions.
- Familiarity with non-conformance management processes.
- Experience delivering structured improvement projects.
- Knowledge of data tools (e.g., Tableau) and non-conformance software.
