Quality Improvement Manager – 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (MATERNITY COVER)
Position Summary
Quality Improvement Manager – West Midlands Contract Type: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with flexibility required) Location: Covering homes across the West Midlands (Tipton, Kings Heath, Tile Cross, Walsall) Salary: £56,929 + £3,000 car allowance
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised, dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment to support our Operations team. Every healthcare system relies on a complex network of care processes and pathways, and the Overall Objective for this role is to:

Your responsibilities will include key themes:
- Clinical Excellence

- Service User Voice
You will partner with the Clinical Director to deliver the Exemplar Quality Strategy and play a critical role in shaping care delivery for individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
As an Operational Quality Improvement Manager, you will:
- Work closely with the Operational team (Clinical Nurse Managers) to provide:
- Coaching and support
- Action-focused interventions
- Serve as a link nurse for one of the following specialisms (with responsibilities for policy updates and ensuring compliance):
- Nutrition and Hydration (including dysphagia and diabetes)
- Tissue Viability
- Continence Care
- End-of-Life Care (including verification of death)
- Implement an improvement strategy per service to ensure:
- Compliance with regulatory standards
- Effectiveness of processes, including:
- Quality Assurance (clinical stats, RCA – Root Cause Analysis, follow-ups)
- Care plans and risk assessments
- Action plan compliance
- Support Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) in updating action plans following:
- Internal inspections
- External inspections
- Conduct monthly specialist training analyses and provide support for compliance.
- Assist in the development of:
- Quality policies and procedures
- Audit materials
- Service User information
- Facilitate new initiatives to improve Service User quality of life.

About You – Key Requirements

- Be a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably with:
- A degree in nursing
- Evidence of further professional development in care, management, or quality
- Hold or have a coaching qualification, with the ability to:

- Service User-centred care
- Demonstrate:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Pragmatic, analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to apply analytical skills in complex and challenging situations
- Be:
- A collaborative team player, able to work across all departments
- Willing to travel to all Exemplar Health Care locations.
