A world leader in aerospace engineering manufacturing is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join its inspection team in Southend-on-Sea. The company offers great working conditions and an excellent benefits package. If you have previous experience of inspection within aerospace manufacturing and can use measuring equipment, then this could be the ideal role for you.
Duties
- Inspect precision components and assemblies using micrometres, verniers, and Faro Arm equipment
- Carry out First Article Inspections (FAI) and batch sampling inspections
- Complete testing in line with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
- Process non-conformance documentation where required
- Verify products meet drawing, specification, and quality requirements
- Support release certification activities and maintain accurate records

Experience
- Previous experience as an Inspector within engineering or manufacturing is essential
- Ability to read engineering drawings (metric and imperial)
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Knowledge of FAI, ISO 9001, and quality systems
- SAP or ERP experience advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
