Role Description
We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team at our Bournemouth facility. This is a hands-on role inspecting precision optical components to ensure they meet customer specifications and company quality standards. Previous inspection experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will work with a variety of precision components, using specialist measuring equipment and inspection systems while learning our inspection procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out incoming and final inspection of precision optical components.
- Use precision measuring equipment and inspection systems.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
- Record inspection data using company software.
- Identify and report non-conforming products.
- Support stock control, packing, and dispatch activities when required.
- Carry out general administrative duties during quieter periods.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe inspection area.
- Assist with general housekeeping to maintain a professional working environment.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Basic maths skills.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Reliable, organised, and methodical.
- Able to follow procedures accurately.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering.
- Experience reading engineering drawings.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers or micrometers.
- Experience working with delicate or precision components.
