Purpose of the Role

To ensure that all products and processes meet the required quality standards and conform to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 requirements. The Quality Lead plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, identifying non-conformities, and supporting continual improvement initiatives.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection & Verification

    • Ensure routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods are conducted.
    • Verify conformity against documented specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Non-Conformance Management

    • Identify and report non-conforming outputs.
    • Ensure Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) are completed and investigated.
    • Support with root cause analysis and corrective actions in collaboration with the QHS Manager.
  • Documentation & Records

    • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of products.
    • Ensure all quality documentation is completed and filed according to Document Control Procedure.
    • Provide relevant documentation records to production teams when required.

  • Process Monitoring and Auditing

    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
    • Lead internal audits and support external audits to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 and other accreditation schemes.
    • Maintain and continually develop the QMS, Identify gaps and non-conformities in the quality control system.
  • Communication & Reporting

    • Communicate quality issues to relevant departments.
    • Provide feedback to improve product quality and process efficiency.
  • Calibrations

    • Maintain calibration registers and schedules for equipment used in production and quality checks.
    • Organise calibrations according to the schedule.
    • Conduct several in-house calibrations.
    • Liaise with external calibration companies in good time.
  • New Product Analysis

    • Conducting quality based analytical techniques on new products.
    • Report findings to management.

Requirements

  • Qualifications & Skills
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a quality control or assurance role, preferably in manufacturing.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and standards.
    • Proficient in using quality tools and forms (e.g., NCRs, audit checklists).
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Experience with leading internal and external audits.
    • Quality-based problem-solving skills, experience with non-conformances, CAPA’s and change control procedures.
