About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Quality Lead to take ownership of our Quality Management System (QMS), lead our quality team, and ensure our products consistently meet customer, industry, and regulatory standards. This is a chance to drive quality excellence, improve operational efficiency, and shape an enduring quality culture—all while contributing to a growing, sustainable brand in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
As Quality Lead, your key responsibilities will include:
Quality System & Compliance
- Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
- Lead internal audits, and support external and customer audits, ensuring audit readiness and compliance.
- Maintain critical quality documentation, including FMEAs, Control Plans, process flows, and inspection procedures.
- Define Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements in collaboration with technical teams.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, Coach, and develop the Quality team to drive high performance and accountability.
- Plan and prioritise daily quality operations to support production needs and inspection processes.
Manufacturing Quality Control
- Oversee product quality from incoming materials through to final delivery.
- Support new product introductions via APQP, FAIR, and PPAP processes.
- Lead root cause analyses (using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams) to implement corrective actions.
- Analyse quality data to identify trends and drive improvements.

Customer & Supplier Relations
- Act as the key quality contact for customer compliance issues and ensure effective resolutions.
- Monitor and facilitate supplier quality performance, supporting their development to meet our standards.
Process Improvement & Excellence
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving and improvement activities.
- Monitor and improve performance metrics such as PPM ( Parts Per Million), First Pass Yield, and Cost of Quality.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Promote safe working practices, including in controlled or cleanroom environments.
Requirements
We’re looking for a motivated quality professional with a blend of technical expertise and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have:
Core Skills & Experience
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics, Industrial, Chemical) or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in a quality or manufacturing environment, ideally within the plastics/moulding industry.
- Deep knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Proficiency in quality tools, including FMEA, Control Plans, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and MSA (Measurement System Analysis).
- Experience in structured problem-solving methodologies (8D reports, Five Whys, Kaizen).
- Ability to analyse quality data and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Proven ability in leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management.
- Exceptional communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
- A results-driven mindset with attention to detail and process improvement.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
