Quality Lead
Location: Falmouth, Cornwall
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

The Role
As Quality Lead, you'll be responsible for supporting and driving quality across the manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and customers to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading day-to-day quality activities across the manufacturing facility.
- Investigating and resolving customer, supplier, and internal quality issues.
- Driving root cause analysis using structured problem-solving techniques (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).
- Managing non-conformances and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Supporting internal and external audits and maintaining compliance with quality management systems.
- Working closely with suppliers to improve incoming quality performance.
- Monitoring quality KPIs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing process improvements.
- Promoting a quality-first culture throughout the business.
- Providing guidance and support to production teams on quality best practice.

We're looking for someone with:
- Experience within a Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, or Quality Manager position.
- A minimum of 2 years' Quality Engineering experience, or significant experience leading a quality function.
- A background within manufacturing or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, PPAP, CAPA, SPC, MSA, and root cause analysis.
- Experience working with ISO quality management systems (ISO 9001 experience is essential).
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
