Quality Leader – Aerospace & Precision Manufacturing

About the Role

I am looking for a Quality Leader to join a global engineering organisation specialising in advanced aerospace technologies, renowned for delivering cutting-edge solutions to the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of Quality Engineers in a modern, high-precision manufacturing environment, focused on excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Overview

  • Title: Quality Leader (Permanent)
  • Location: Coventry
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday (8:00am–4:30pm), Friday (8:00am–3:30pm)
  • Package: Highly Competitive Salary + 12.5% Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality Engineers and apprentices, fostering a culture of quality excellence.
  • Compliance & Auditing

    • Ensure adherence to aerospace and regulatory standards, including AS9100, AS13100, and Part 21.
    • Support and manage internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and prompt resolution of findings.

  • Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions

    • Drive root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives

    • Champion programs like Lean, Six Sigma, and Zero Defects initiatives.
    • Monitor and report on key quality performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • Industry Experience
    • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for aerospace.
    • Strong background in leading or mentoring quality teams within technical environments.

    • In-depth knowledge of AS9100, AS13100, and regulatory frameworks such as Part 21.
