Healthcare Quality Manager


Core Details

  • Salary: Up to £53,000 per year
  • Location: East Midlands Gateway, with 1 day/week at Kings Norton, Birmingham
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
  • Department: Quality Assurance

About the Role

Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement and delivering high-quality services? We’re seeking a ** Healthcare Quality Manager ** to lead our expanding Quality team at Arvato, ensuring adherence to healthcare standards, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and operational excellence across two key sites.

Key Objectives:

-Direct quality assurance with a focus on patient safety and product compliance. -Oversee a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with Good Distribution Practice (GDP), ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 standards. -Foster a culture of compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Healthcare Quality team and the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lead team to achieve quality standards and exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Compliance & Compliance

  • Prioritise full compliance with GDP, ISO requirements, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Ensure product quality and patient safety through rigorous adherence to standards.
  • Act as liaison for the “Responsible Person” under the WDA (H) Licence.

QMS Coordination

  • Work closely with the Head of Quality Assurance to develop, manage, and maintain the QMS, including:
    • Deviations/Actions & Corrective Actions (CAPA) management
    • Internal audits and best practices
    • Change control, document control, and training programmes
    • Temperature management, supplier audits, and pest control
    • Validation, qualification & calibration processes
    • Returns, recalls, and regulatory response support

Regulatory & Client-Facing

  • Act as a delegate for the Responsible Person, facilitating audits by clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead structured training sessions on quality standards nationwide.
  • Present Quality KPIs in client and business reviews to ensure transparency.
  • Support the Annual Quality Review, collating information and chairing the meeting.
  • Advise operational and non-operational teams on quality standards and compliance issues.
  • Interpret and advocate contractual KPIs with clients and suppliers, ensuring global compliance.

Project & Policy Growth

  • Assist in healthcare projects from a quality and regulatory perspective, aiding scalability and consistency.
  • Synthesise and implement global best practices from GDP, ISO audits aligned with middle and senior management.
  • Engage proactively in global Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives and ensure KPIs and regulatory updates are disseminated.

Required Competencies

  • Technical Experience:
    • Proven track record in healthcare quality, governance, or compliance.
    • Deep understanding of audit processes and regulatory frameworks.
    • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
    • Ability to lead across multiple operational sites.
