Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer supplying highly engineered products and solutions into demanding sectors including aerospace, defence, medical, industrial and advanced technology markets. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality activities at their Dundee manufacturing facility.

Your new role

As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving the site's Quality Management System while ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and business requirements. You will lead a team of quality professionals, drive a culture of continuous improvement and act as the primary quality authority across the site.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing operations.
  • Maintaining and improving the site's Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and industry-specific standards.
  • Managing internal and external audits, customer audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Driving root cause analysis and corrective action activities using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Monitoring quality KPIs and implementing improvement initiatives to reduce non-conformance and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Managing customer quality issues and supporting effective resolution of complaints and returns.
  • Supporting new product introduction activities and change management processes.
  • Developing, coaching and mentoring the quality team.
  • Working closely with operations, engineering, supply chain and customers to ensure quality objectives are achieved.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will ideally possess:

  • Proven experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO standards.
  • Experience of leading audits and managing customer and supplier quality issues.
  • Demonstrable success in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D, FMEA and Six Sigma tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Quality or a related discipline would be advantageous.
  • Lead Auditor and/or Six Sigma qualifications would be beneficial.
