Role Summary
The person who has the authority to plan, coordinate, implement and communicate a comprehensive Quality Management System at all levels within the organisation and maintain as documented information. A Lean thinker, who assesses, monitors, and enhances business performance for our organisation. The Quality Manager will analyse current practices and performance data to develop business process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous improvement in company performance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Coffey team to create strategic and tactical plans for continuous improvement, organisation learning and corporate memory that supports the delivery of Coffey's vision, values and winning ways.
- Promotion of a positive culture of reporting and continuous improvement.
- Formulate, develop and review the Coffey Quality and Continuous Improvement policies and documentation for existing and new activities.
- Lead, mentoring, train and guide HSQE and Delivery team members in Lean and Quality processes. Foster an ethos of continuous improvement through training and mentoring.
- Analyse the Quality Management System, identify opportunities for improvement and remove waste from company processes and procedures.
- Drive initiatives that reduce rework and enhance right-first-time delivery.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including HSQE, Design and Delivery.
- Engage with clients, consultants and subcontractors to align strategic objectives and share best practice.
- Contribute to the company Process Improvement Log and investigate shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for significant findings or identified trends and implement effective Corrective and Preventative actions.
- Identify inefficiencies, remove waste and lead structured continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop KPMs to track performance and produce monthly reports for the business.
- Report to the senior management team regarding performance of the Quality Management System and Lean Strategies.
- Carry out regular internal audits of business processes and sites and subsequently provide reports, noting observations and recommendations that must be actioned by site management.
- Lead and drive the promotion of lessons learned regarding the cost of poor quality.
- Establish norms and standards of company Lean performance.
- Facilitate in the implementation of the Last Planner System and collaborate with other stakeholders to focus on enhancing productivity and staff satisfaction.
- Keep up to date with developments in Lean, Collaborative Planning management and process optimisation.

Essential Criteria
- A degree in Engineering, HR, Business or MBA or equivalent experience to support your competency in the role would be beneficial.
- 3 years’+ experience providing both first line advice and tactical support for ISO9001 and development on lean, process optimisation, operations, or business management.
- A sharp eye for identifying weak points in processes and organisational structures.
- An excellent communicator with top-notch presentation skills.
- Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities, curious and open to continuous improvement.
- Confidence in your abilities and knowledge to influence and lead organisational change.

Desirable Criteria
- Certifications like Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt
