Role Description
This is a full-time, office-based Quality Manager – Quality Assurance & Compliance role located in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. At Titan, we pride ourselves on our relentless pursuit of quality. The Quality Manager will play a central role in upholding this ethos by leading quality assurance, regulatory compliance, audit activity, cross-functional collaboration, and championing a proactive, data-driven approach to continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of Quality Assurance and Quality Compliance across the business. This includes developing, maintaining and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with international standards, customer-specific requirements, and applicable statutory and regulatory obligations.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement and Commercial teams, the Quality Manager will ensure Titan consistently delivers products and services that meet customer expectations whilst maintaining compliance with ISO standards, industry regulations, customer requirements and internal governance processes.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and developing the Quality team, driving operational excellence, embedding a culture of quality and compliance throughout the organisation, and supporting the long-term strategic objectives of the business.
The Quality Manager will also be responsible for leading internal and external audits, supplier quality assurance activities, customer quality requirements, compliance reporting, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives whilst acting as the primary point of contact for certification bodies, customers and regulatory auditors.
About You
- Proven experience in a Quality Management role within a precision engineering, CNC machining, automotive, aerospace or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading and developing a Quality team, including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Extensive knowledge of Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles, quality control techniques and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing internal, customer and third-party certification audits.
- Excellent understanding of customer-specific requirements within automotive, motorsport or advanced engineering supply chains.
- Experience of supplier quality management and supply chain compliance.
- Strong knowledge of MSA, IMDS, APQP, PPAP, FAIR, ISIR and Control Plans.
- Experience using statistical quality tools including SPC, capability studies and trend analysis.
- Strong understanding of structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa and CAPA.
- Experience overseeing CMM inspection, calibration systems and measurement equipment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities using quality data.
- Ability to monitor changes to legislation, industry standards and customer requirements and ensure ongoing business compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all business functions.
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance customer expectations, quality requirements and operational efficiency.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and solutions-focused with a passion for quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and customer-specific requirements.
- Ensure robust Quality Assurance processes are embedded throughout the business.
- Lead APQP activities including PPAP, FAIR, ISIR and Control Plan development.
- Monitor product quality using statistical methods including SPC, capability studies and trend analysis.
- Lead investigations into non-conformances using structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Whys and Ishikawa.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through to effective closure.
- Oversee CMM inspection, measurement systems and calibration programmes.
- Manage incoming, in-process and final inspection activities.
- Lead supplier quality assurance activities including supplier audits and performance monitoring.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and all relevant statutory, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Maintain certification readiness and lead external surveillance, certification and customer audits.
- Act as the primary point of contact for certification bodies, customers and regulatory auditors.
- Ensure compliance documentation, procedures and records are effectively maintained and controlled.
- Monitor changes to legislation, industry standards and customer requirements, ensuring timely implementation across the business.
- Develop compliance reporting and KPI dashboards for the Senior Management Team.
- Promote a culture of governance, risk management and compliance throughout the organisation.
- Lead, coach and develop the Quality team to achieve departmental and business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Procurement and Commercial teams to improve quality, manufacturability and customer satisfaction.
- Reduce waste, scrap and cost through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead internal quality improvement projects using structured improvement methodologies.
- Report quality performance, compliance status, customer concerns and business risks to the Senior Management Team.
- Champion a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement across all departments.
