Role Description

The Quality Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in West Bromwich. This role is responsible for overseeing and improving the company’s quality management system, ensuring products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.   • Developing and maintaining quality procedures
  • Leading internal audits
  • Coordinating corrective and preventive actions
  • Analyzing quality data to identify trends and root causes

The Quality Manager collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, and enhance process efficiency. The role also involves:

  • Managing customer quality concerns
  • Supporting certification and compliance activities
  • Training team members on quality standards and best practices

Qualifications

  • Strong background in quality management systems, including experience with ISO standards and internal auditing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as presswork, CNC machining, turned parts, and welding, ideally within metalworking or automotive supply chains.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, Pareto) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement data, with familiarity in metrology and inspection techniques.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across engineering, production, and customer-facing teams.
  • Competence in using digital tools for data analysis, reporting, and documentation to support quality and performance tracking.
  • Proven capability to lead projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
