We Are Looking for a Quality Manager
We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Quality Manager to lead and integrate Manufacturing Quality, Product Quality, and Quality Management Systems (QMS) at our Chippenham, UK site.
In this key leadership role, you will partner closely with Operations, R&D, and Product Engineering to strengthen quality systems, manufacturing controls, and quality practices across the full product lifecycle — from design and development through to production. Acting as the voice of quality across the site, you will help resolve complex quality challenges while driving a proactive culture focused on continuous improvement, prevention, and zero defects.
About The Job
Quality Management
- Lead and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and FMEAs, while supporting yield improvement, process capability, and defect reduction initiatives
- Ensure quality requirements are embedded throughout the new product development process, supporting design for manufacturability, quality, and reliability during transfer to production
- Drive internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities across the site
- Monitor and report on product quality performance, customer complaints, non-conformances, and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) metrics to identify and implement improvement opportunities
- Oversee incoming and outgoing product quality, including supplier quality management activities
- Lead customer complaint investigations and facilitate cross-functional 8D problem-solving teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure compliance with the Quality and Business Continuity Management requirements within the Littelfuse Operating System
- Define and maintain qualification and QA sampling plans for both new and existing products
- Conduct Quality Gemba walks and manage non-conformance processes

Systems, Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare internal and customer-facing quality reports, including 8D reports
- Maintain integrated quality documentation, records, and management systems
- Track KPIs, analyze trends, and provide regular reports to leadership and regulatory bodies
- Coordinate external audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections
- Ensure effective communication of quality expectations across the organization
Culture & Training
- Deliver or coordinate training on quality topics
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive risk management
- Support employee engagement through committees, campaigns, and recognition program

About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as Lead Auditor, CQI, or Six Sigma are preferred
- Experience working in a Quality Manager role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience within the manufacturing, industrial, or semiconductor industry is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or equivalent
- Familiarity with semiconductor processes such as photolithography, etch, deposition, CMP, or testing
- Understanding of 8D problem-solving methodologies and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Proven experience leading audits, managing compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and promote a proactive quality culture
