Quality Manager – Distribution (Global Operations)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join a well-established global distribution operation based in the West Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, hands-on quality professional to lead a small team and maintain high standards across:
- Incoming goods inspection
- Warehouse processes
- Site compliance
- iso9001 and iso14001 compliance
The Quality Manager will oversee quality operations within a distribution centre, ensuring all fasteners and industrial components meet specification, quantity, and condition standards before release to customers. You’ll collaborate closely with Quality Inspectors and the Warehouse Manager, driving process adherence, supporting site improvements, and ensuring quality excellence throughout operations.

Location:
West Midlands
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, onsite
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will take ownership of the following:
- Lead and develop a team of 4 Quality Inspectors
- Oversee incoming quality inspections, certifications, and release processes
- Ensure all goods received meet specification, quantity, and condition standards
- Collaborate with warehouse operations to maintain process compliance
- Support and promote HSE standards across the site
- Manage ISO9001 and ISO14001 compliance, including audits and system improvements
- Build strong relationships with all levels of the business, from shopfloor teams to senior stakeholders
Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
✔ Proven experience leading a quality team in engineering, manufacturing, or distribution ✔ Strong hands-on and analytical skills ✔ Confident communicator with the ability to influence across all organisational levels ✔ Experience in mentoring and developing team members ✔ Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards ✔ Practical, proactive approach with strict attention to detail ✔ Senior Quality Engineer or equivalent seeking a Quality Manager position
